Ch 160 OEM HF/HD |
| |
|
The
Valby CH 160 OEM HF/HD is a chipper unit which can be
mounted stationary or on a trailer. The chipper has a self-contained
hydraulic system which powers the power feed. The hydraulic system
becomes active as soon as the chipper starts turning.
Chipper is powered from engines or
electric motors.
The chipper has a 8" diameter
V-belt pulley with grooves for "A" type belts. The chipper can be
turned 540 to 1500 rpm. At 540 rpm, the chipper requires 30 HP to chip
6" diameter material. The power requirement increases when the chipper
is turned faster. |

|
Ease of
Operation:
Because of the low feeding point,
material does not have to be lifted high, which assures easier feeding
of the chipper. |
| |
|
Safety
Features:
The Valby chippers do not have any
knife motion toward the operator. This reduces the risk
of material flying back through the feed chute. The discharge height is
86" above ground so the discharge is above eye level. The accomplish
safe operation in various wind directions, the Valby chipper's discharge
direction is adjustable 360 degrees. The chipper feeds the material
smoothly and does not jerk it from the operator's hands. |
|
| |
|
Powerful
Chip Discharge:
The fan is built
into the chipper's disk so it also retains its rotational speed under
heavy loads. The chips can be directed in any desired direction as the
discharge chute rotates 360 degrees. The chips can be placed near or
far by aiming the deflector bonnet. |
|
| |
|
Ease of
Service:
The knives can be sharpened
about 50 times before replacement. The changing of the knives
takes only 10 |
|
|
minutes. The knives are easy to
get to and no special tools are needed for the change. The upper
housing opens up for easy access to the knives. The
discharge chute is easy to remove so the chipper can be stored inside
low buildings. |
